Everyones Invited
Boys
and girls living in the greater Akron area, ages 14 and under, are
eligible to compete.
Contestants must know how to play the
game of Ringer; competed in a
previous tournament or attended one of the many marble programs or
clinics sponsored by the American Toy Marble Museum.
A
special marbles tournament will be held for those younger mibsters who
have yet to master the art of knuckling down. The game played will be
Droppies.
Prizes
The
winners, one boy and one girl, receive a college scholarship valued at
$1,000 each.
Trophies, special hand-made marbles and other fun prizes will be
awarded.
Each
contestant receives a bag of marbles when they sign up.
Since 1923
the Akron District Marbles Tournament has served all children, of all of
races, religions, ethnic backgrounds and physical challenges.
